FORT WAYNE, Ind. (January 19, 2022) – Northeast Indiana Talent Attraction, Inc. (NEITA) today announced the appointment of a Financial Business Manager, Vice President of Operations, Director of Candidate Experience, and Director of Business Development.
Kate Leach has joined NEITA as the Director of Finance. Kate holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from the University of Indianapolis and has over seven years of experience managing and running successful businesses.
Karen McMahon has been promoted to Vice President of Marketing and Candidate Experience after serving as Sr. Director of Operations. Her experience in creating programs and processes for a Fortune 500 company previously, has been a great match in helping build NEITA over the last three years. Karen was also a client of NEITA in 2018 when her husband was recruited to Fort Wayne from Seattle. McMahon said, “I can tell you without a doubt, if we had not had the connection with NEITA when my husband was being recruited, we would not have considered Fort Wayne. He could get a great job anywhere, but Lynn and the team really made us feel welcome and eliminated any barriers we had to leave Seattle after 18 years there. This is why I love helping others discover a love for Fort Wayne and the surrounding areas; coming here was a great move for our family.”
Kathy Ray has joined NEITA as the company’s new Director of Candidate Experience. NEITA continually strives to create red-carpet recruiting experiences, and Kathy’s primary focus will be to ensure a world-class experience for top candidates being recruited to Fort Wayne and surrounding areas. Kathy comes to NEITA after a 34-year career with Vera Bradley, where she created the first shipping department, worked in customer service and the marketing departments for 20 years, and then served the Michigan region as a sales representative for the last 14 years. Ray said, “I was recruited to Fort Wayne over 34 years ago. I know firsthand the importance of first impressions of a city. I look forward to showing our candidates what Northeast Indiana has to offer.”
Nancy Ecclestone has joined NEITA as the company’s new Director of Business Development, expanding the reach to employers throughout NE Indiana. Nancy joins NEITA after a 14 year outside sales career with Vera Bradley. Prior to Vera Bradley, Nancy taught at Fort Wayne Community Schools for 21 years. She holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Education from Indiana University. Ecclestone added, “As a lifelong resident of Fort Wayne, I am very proud of what our city has become. I look forward to combining my 35 years of work experience with my enthusiasm for our area, to attract top talent to Northeast Indiana.”
